[NOTE: Handwriting on death certificate very difficult to read. I magnified it 400% before I could read it accurately.] She was married previously to Unknown Short.

Copeland, William Cornelius     May 2, 1869  - Apr. 19, 1941.    MO Death Cert.#16026 has not been transcribed, but cites place of death as Shannon Co in April, 1941.  Another source gives a year of birth as 1868.  From research found online, both his parents were born in TN; he was born in AR, died at Winona.  He was married five times: 1st to Eliza E. Hulsey in 1883 at Dent Co MO; 2nd Margaret ‘Maggie’ Steers Short, about 1897. Their children were Floyd Marvin, Mary Dessie, Vernon Claude and Francis Eugene Copeland (m. Ruth Rebecca Meade).  He married 3rd Maggie Needham Dec. 23, 1908. He married 4th Mary Ellen Counts about 1912 and had children Ernest & Katherine (m. Unknown Reed).  He married 5th Ella Lue Duncan 01 Mar 1914, and had 10 children: Kirby D., Everett L., Wilma F. (m. Glen Eldon Barrett), Junior William (m. Inez Unknown), Elzada H., Geneva L. (m. Unknown Rees), and Bobbie Dean Copeland.
